The Dancer's Place offers a variety of classes with a diverse staff and resources for class lessons.  We offer classes and times that are convenient for parents.  Available dance styles include: Ballet – Pointe – Tap – Jazz – Hip Hop – Lyrical/Contemporary – Tumbling – Competitive Dance

We have convenient online registration available to new and current students.  Click here to register for classes. 

Our staff is dedicated to the dance education of each dancer that enters our studio.  We offer small class sizes for the benefit of our students by being able to provide greater individual attention

We are proud to be able to provide our dancers with one of the best flooring systems available.  Both our studios are equipped with a floating floor system. This reduces the fatigue and stress on the body as they dance.

We hold an annual dance recital that provides the opportunity for all of our students to showcase their talents and learnings to their families.  It is a wonderful family experience that can be enjoyed by all.

 Combo Class I – AGES 2-3: 45 MINUTES WEEKLY:
A creative movement class that introduces children to the joy of music and movement. Basic motor skills will be challenged, as well as developing rhythm and imagination in a fun atmosphere. Students will perform one routine in our spring recital. Class includes tap and creative movement. 

Combo Class II – AGES 4-5: 1 HOUR WEEKLY:

A wonderful introduction to the basics of tap and ballet technique, geared to develop imagination, rhythm, coordination, social skills and an appreciation of movement and music. Students will perform one routine in our spring recital. Class includes tap and ballet.

Combo Class III – AGES 5-6: 1 HOUR WEEKLY:

An exciting program, designed to increase strength, flexibility and confidence as well as the learning skills necessary to develop academically and artistically. Always a highlight in our spring recital, students will perform one routine. Class includes tap and ballet.  

Combo Class IIII – AGES 6-7: 1 HOUR WEEKLY:

Advancement throughout the years. This class gets students ready for single dance classes, working on tap, ballet and jazz. Students will focus on coordination and self-expression. Students preform two routines in our spring recital. 

Tumble Tots: AGES 3-5: 30 MINUTES WEEKLY:
This class focuses on motor skills and coordination. Students will begin to learn the basic skills for tumbling.  Students will perform in our spring recital.  Our tumbling staff is Certified through Tumbling Effects.


Tumbling I: AGES 6-12: 45 MINUTES WEEKLY:
In this class students will learn the basic skills for tumbling. The children will work on strength and flexibility as well as coordination and balance. Students will perform in our spring recital.  Our tumbling staff is Certified through Tumbling Effects.

Tumbling II: 1 HOUR WEEKLY:

Students will increase their strength and flexibility as well as balance and coordination as they learn tumbling. Students will perform in our spring recital. Previous tumbling required. Advancement throughout the years to Tumbling III: 1 HOUR WEEKLY. Our tumbling staff is Certified through Tumbling Effects.​

Hip Hop I: AGES 5-8: 45 MINUTES WEEKLY:

A hip hop class for pre dance students. Fast and upbeat, students will gain endurance, strength, coordination and flexibility while learning some of today’s “cool” moves. Students will perform in our spring recital.

Hip Hop II: 45 MINUTES WEEKLY:

Hip Hop is a fast and upbeat class which begins with both stretch and strengthening exercises. Dancers learn the newest moves as seen from our current pop performers. This is a fun and challenging class and students will increase their flexibility, strength and endurance. Previous Hip Hop dance required. Advancement throughout the years to Hip Hop III: 45 MINUTES WEEKLY; Hip Hop IIII: 1 HOUR WEEKLY.

POINTE: 30 MINUTES WEEKLY:

Pointe is a natural continuation of ballet technique that is studied only when a dancer has developed sufficient strength in the feet and legs necessary for this demanding discipline. Focusing on strength and technique needed to dance en pointe. Students under the age of 12 years are not allowed into this class. Any student taking pointe class must, in addition, take at least one other ballet class weekly and must have taken pre-pointe.

BALLET I: AGES 8-12: 45 MINUTES WEEKLY:

Ballet is the foundation for all dance training, and while it is not required, it is HIGHLY recommended for all students. Dancers will work to develop proper alignment and posture, stretch, strength, flexibility, correct technique, vocabulary and the discipline necessary to progress in this beautiful art form. Advancement throughout the years to BALLET II: 45 MINUTES WEEKLY; BALLET III: 1 HOUR WEEKLY;BALLET IIII: 1 1/2 HOUR WEEKLY.

TAP I: AGES 8-12: 30 MINUTES WEEKLY:

This percussive class incorporates tap technique and a variety of music to help develop a strong sense of rhythm, timing and musicality. Elements such as syncopation, improvisation and shading are introduced as the student progresses through each level. Vocabulary and history are included so that the dancer becomes familiar with what is known as the true “American” art form. It is recommended that a jazz or ballet class be taken in addition to tap, to enhance the student’s overall technical development. Advancement throughout the years to TAP II: 45 MINUTES WEEKLY; TAP III – 1 HOUR WEEKLY; TAP IIII – 1 HOUR WEEKLY.

JAZZ I: AGES 8-12: 30 MINUTES WEEKLY:
Through jazz technique students will increase their stretch, strength, flexibility, rhythm and endurance. A variety of styles including classical, funk and hip hop combine with contemporary and traditional music to produce a fast paced and athletic approach to dance training. Advancement throughout the years to JAZZ II: 45 MINUTES WEEKLY; JAZZ III: 1 HOUR WEEKLY;  JAZZ IIII: 1 HOUR WEEKLY.

LYRICAL I: AGES 10-16: 45 MINUTES WEEKLY:
This form of dance incorporates both ballet and jazz elements to tell a story through movement. Dancers work to increase strength, flexibility, control and balance with the emphasis being placed on developing the emotional or expressive qualities necessary to perform lyrical dance. Advancement throughout the years to LYRICAL II: 45 MINUTES WEEKLY; LYRICAL III: 1 HOUR WEEKLY.

POMS I: AGES 8-12: 30 MINUTES WEEKLY:

This dance form focuses on kicks, jumps, turns and overall pom technique. It helps the dancer prepare for a high school dance/pom team. Advancement throughout the years to POMS II: 45 MINUTES WEEKLY.
